The Abyss, Special Edition
This is the best edition of the movie as it includes the proper ending that not all versions have. I think that this dvd nicely roundabout out anyone's Collection of movies. I won't spoil the movie for those who have not seen it, but WHAT AN ENDING and it was put into the right place in the movie, not as a bonus feature where it would not make sense. A MUST HAVE!

THE ABYSS Open Matte Special Edition
I purchased the official 4K / Blu-ray release in widescreen. I am not a fan of cropped movies and don't like the black bars on the top & bottom of my TV screen. I don't think I will see the official widescreen edition again. Wasted money. This ShowTown Special Edition with open matte ratio not only fills up my screen, I see more visual image and it's so sharp in high definition with great features. I always come back to enjoy this spectacular movie with the best and only way to see it open matte in this magnificent ShowTown Special Edition.
