Great transfer! Worth the price!
I have to say I’m very happy with this product. Finally, a Region-1 Blu-Ray of my favorite sci-fi film of all time: Kathryn Bigelow’s masterpiece “Strange Days.” The film has been culled from the 4K German Blu-ray released by Universal Studios back in 2010. It’s a great transfer. Although the poor cover art is the most disappointing aspect of this product, the beautiful menus and special features make up for it. The shoddy DVD from ‘99 only contained 2 Deleted Scenes, 2 Trailers, and a Scene-Specific Director’s Commentary. Here we get almost all the bonuses from the Universal release, save for the longer 25-min Behind-the-Scenes Featurette (dubbed in German) and the “Selling Jesus” Music Video. Another slight disappointment is that all of the features (except the teaser) are in SD. Certainly not a deal-breaker, as there are plenty of features to sift through. The menus also pop-up during the film for convenience. Now I don’t need to swap out my Region-1 player every time I want to watch this film in HD! Until we get a proper 4K release from Disney, this Region-1 Blu-Ray edition of “Strange Days” is definitely the way to go. Thanks Showtown Apparel!

Great Transfer. Get a Copy!
Very hard-to-get title. Only available for European Region B elsewhere. Picture quality is exceptional. Good resolution of the many dark scenes. No evidence of macroblocking or digitizing. Sound quality is adequate.

Great picture
Video is top notch as usual. Audio is OK. Probably as good as it will get for this title.

Another GREAT release by ShowTown!
This film seems to be a 'love it or hate it' movie. It's from acclaimed director's Kathryn Bigelow and James Cameron and cost a small fortune back in 1995 when it sadly flopped badly at the box office. However, it is a decent thriller with Ralph Fiennes playing a seedy slimeball who gradually finds a heart. Some memorable P.O.V. scenes are also interspersed throughout the film. Another terrific release from Showtown with fabulous picture, sound and some very informative extras. Thank you!
