Challenging movie, great transfer!
A young gangster has to face mortality when a gruff doctor tells him he has tuberculosis. The movie is a little uneven, marred by US censorship, but it still has plenty to fall in love with. There are deep themes and rich characters, even if the plotting is a little clumsy. The transfer is terrific! It's a little scratched and faded like a film print, so don't expect it to be a showcase for your 70 inch, 4K tv. There are also a couple moments where the subtitles are badly timed, so the text is gone before the character even speaks. But it's certainly better than a DVD and well worth the upgrade!
